E- Visa stands for “Electronic Visa”. It is a legal license that allows foreigners to enter and exit Vietnam through border gates for tourism purpose. It is granted by the Vietnam government. Currently E-visa is the latest form of Vietnam visa.
Conditions for applying for e-Visa for foreigners
Conditions for being granted an online e-Visa visa for foreigners to enter and exit Vietnam with travelling purpose:
1. Foreigners are abroad.
2. Foreigners have valid passports; passports are valid at least 6 months beyond the actual arrival date.
3. Foreigners who do not fall into cases of not allowing entry under the provisions of Article 21 of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam.
4. Foreigners are citizens of one of the countries listed in the electronic visa issuance list as stipulated in Decree No. 07/ 2017/ ND-CP dated January 25, 2017 of the Vietnam Government.
Procedures for applying for e-Visa for foreigners
E-Visa is issued to foreigners who enter and exit Vietnam for the purpose of tourism and have a period of note up to 30. You can Visit the Immigration Department website (or https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/trang-chu-ttdt) and follow these steps:
+ Step 1: Enter information for electronic visa application.
Load a scan image of your passport and portrait photo (face looking straight, without glasses), after this step, you will be issued with an electronic code.
+ Step 2: Pay the electronic visa fee.
+ Step 3: Use the electronic record code to check the results, if approved, you print the electronic visa out.
Within 3 working days from the date of receiving full information on electronic visa application and fees, the Immigration Department (Ministry of Public Security) considers, resolves and responds to e-visa applicants at the Information Page electronic visa. Foreigners request an electronic visa use the electronic record code to check the result of the Immigration Department at the electronic visa information page. In the case of an electronic visa, the electronic record code is used to print the visa.
Who can apply for E-visa Vietnam?
Vietnam e-visa is legally applied by any citizen from 80 countries listed below:
Andorra, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Colombia, Croatia, Cuba, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Chile, China (including Hong Kong and Macau passports), Denmark, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Marshall Islands, Mexico, Micronesia, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Palau, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Philippines, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Salomon Islands, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Timor Leste, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uruguay, Vanuatu, Venezuela, and Western Samoa.
Unlike Visa on arrival, Vietnam e-Visa is applied at 8 international airports, 13 international border gates and 7 seaports in Vietnam.
