Hanoi – Halong Bay – Cat Ba Island Tour 3 Days

Itinerary highlight is including 4-hour boat cruise on Halong Bay, visit the natural beautiful Dau Go Cave, Grotto of the Heavenly Palace. Visit to Cat Ba Island to experience the life of a typical Northern Vietnamese fishing village. Here you can swim during the summer or explore Cat Ba National Park by bicycle.

DAY 1: HANOI – HALONG (-/L/D)

Pick up and depart for Halong city, visitors will see the rich farmlands, water buffalo and people at work. Arrive in Halong. Transfer to hotel for check in. The rest of day is free at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Ha Long city.

DAY 2: HALONG (B/L/-)

After breakfast, transfer to Halong wharf to take a 4-hour boat cruise in the emerald water between the limestone outcrops and long corridors, enjoy the harmony of clouds and waters. Visit the natural beautiful Dau Go Cave (Grotto of the Wooden Stakes) where in 1288 one of Vietnam’s most famous generals, Tran Hung Dao, amassed hundreds of stakes deep inside the cave prior to a battle with an invading Mongol army and Thien Cung Cave (Grotto of the Heavenly Palace), famous for its marvelous stalagmites and stalactites. Fresh seafood lunch on board meanwhile boat cruise to Cat Ba Island. Arrive in Cat Ba. Transfer to hotel. The rest of day is free at leisure. Overnight in Cat Ba.

DAY 3: CAT BA ISLAND – HAI PHONG – HA NOI (B/L/-)

Breakfast at hotel, transfer to visit Cat Ba National Park. Trek into the Park, enjoy the beauty of nature then conquer Ngu Lam mountain. Back to town for lunch. (Optional: guests can relax at hotel instead of trekking to the National Park). After lunch, free time in Cat Ba island until taking the express boat trip from Cat Ba island to Hai Phong port city, the third biggest city in Viet Nam. Arrive in Ben Binh (Hai Phong) wharf at 15:45. Return to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi. End tour.
